100 Day Challenge # 100

So at long last, I have completed the challenge! I hope that you have enjoyed following along.  These little pieces began to weigh me down at about # 75, but then the process opened up again. It was worth doing, and maybe you will give it a try!

Acrylic paint, ephemera, painted papers, collage.

100 Day Challenge # 99

Practice from Wabi Sabi Art Workshop by Serena Barton.  Wabi Sabi Art Workshop

The author suggested collaging on cheesecloth to make the "mountains." I didn't have cheesecloth, so I used crumpled tea bags.

Acrylic paint, tea bags, reinkers.

100 Day Challenge # 87

Acrylic paint, gel pen, stamping with found object.  I began this piece with circles stamped with a paper towel roll. Then I scraped paint across the piece. I made some marks around the paint, and a shape slowly came to mind. When the piece evolved into a petroglyph-like animal figure, I added a Navajo energy line going through it. It reminded me of something I had seen, so I looked in my file of rock art. The figure shown is similar.

100 Day Challenge # 81

100 Day Challenge # 81 So, we will not be going to FL until next month. There is little fuel, no traffic lights in St Pete and along the west coast, and 4+ million people are trying to drive home. Since I have 30 more days, I will finish the challenge. This is a practice piece, acrylic paint, watercolor, sgraffito.
